Watashi no Yuri wa Oshigoto Desu! – Episode 6 – Hime’s and Mitsuki’s Second Chance

May 11, 2023 by Chikorita157 2 Comments
Can Hime and Mitsuki do their act without the rumors derailing it?

Now that negative rumors about Mitsuki are being spread, Hime sees a replay of what happened during elementary school. Can Hime be true to herself by mending things with Mitsuki and dispelling the rumors?

From last time, Mitsuki’s out-of-character outburst spread rumors showing her in a good light. There are rumors that Mitsuki forced the Schwestern onto Hime. That is despite Mitsuki and Hime agreeing to go along with it. Still, Sumika gives Hime the push they can pull it off and not let some rumors dispel it.

It seems that things were going well, until they weren’t

Of course, things went off well as Hime and Mitsuki acted like they were close. Hime felt confident they could pull it off. It looks as if it would until those two girls ask Hime about the rumors and Hime being forced to be Schwestern with Mitsuki. Hime ran away as she picked up the tray. In the kitchen, though, Hime breaks down in tears as she sees Mitsuki is being treated as the bad guy and wonders why it has to end this way. Kanako becomes worried as Hime breaks down in tears.

Hime cries as she sees a replay of people treating Mitsuki as a villianess. Also, does Hime have romantic feelings for Mitsuki?

Despite Hime’s misunderstanding with Mitsuki, it’s apparent that she viewed Mitsuki as one of her best friends until that moment. After all, she knew how unfair her classmates treated Mitsuki, given her strict and stubborn personality and being an outcast without any friends. However, Hime realizes that quitting and telling lies to protect Mitsuki isn’t right, but she wants to make things right. After these years, Hime realizes that Mitsuki is still the same person who Is strict and stubborn but lonely.

Obviously, Kanako is acting a bit pushy telling Hime to forget about Mitsuki.
Kanako is acting a bit suspicious.

Of course, you have Kanako telling her that the rumors are nothing to worry about and asking why Hime cares so much about Mitsuki. This seems suspicious, making me wonder if Kanako leaked some drama to spread damaging rumors about Mitsuki. After all, Kanako seems awfully worried as she asks why Hime cares about Mitsuki so much after she betrayed her.

Mitsuki finally hears what Hime was talking about.

When Hime says she wants to dispel the rumors and have the customers stop treating her like a villainess, Mitsuki doesn’t believe her and wonders why they should keep going with the Schwestern thing. When Hime comes out, she says she wants to quit the Schwestern thing because people talk badly about Mitsuki.

Hime tries to do the same trick of lying about quitting.
Mitsuki sees through it as she puts the cross back on Hime’s uniform before confessing.

As expected, Mitsuki realizes that Hime is doing the same thing she did in elementary school. However, that is before Hime lies about quitting the Schwestern thing and admitting she loves Mitsuki.

Have they finally made up?

From this, Mitsuki remembers when Hime lied to her fake friends to hang out with Mitsuki instead as she blushes. Mitsuki finally admits that she feels the same and asks why Hime should do anything based on what other people think about her. If Hime wants it to continue, there is no need to quit. We finally see Mitsuki confess her love for Hime as she puts the cross back on her uniform. But, in reality, I felt Mitsuki always had a crush on Hime. Mitsuki wished she could have a second chance. Hime obviously feels the same as she did this. But it’s finally nice to see Hime and Mitsuki on good terms like they were when they practiced piano together.

Now, they are closer than ever, to Kanako’s dismay.
Mitsuki blushes as Hime’s face is pushed into Mitsuki’s chest.
Kanako’s jealousy finally shows.

Either way, it’s nice to see everything resolved and the rumors, and they are on good terms. I find it funny how Mitsuki brings Hime’s face into her well-endowed chest as Mitsuki blushes red. I’m happy that they finally made up and revealed their feelings, although is it an act or real? It really blurs the line. As expected, Kanako doesn’t seem happy with the outcome as she cinches her fist from behind. While we never know if Kanako had any effect on attempting to ruin Mitsuki’s reputation, I admit her reactions are a bit sus.

Lastly, Mai wants Sumika to possibly form a Schwestern with Kanako, although she knows nothing about her. Of course, Sumika finds her phone and answers Hime’s call. Surprisingly, Kanako doesn’t want to go back and fetch her smartphone. Makes me wonder if Kanako is hiding something she doesn’t wish for Hime to see.

Sumika finds out that Kanako’s phone is unlocked.
Nice Hime photo collection you got there. It will be a shame if something were to happen to it.

As expected, Sumika pokes around Kanako’s smartphone and discovers it’s not password protected. She looked through her photos and found a collection of Hime photos. Sumika can easily find out if Kanako spreads negative rumors about Mitsuki, but I doubt she would do that. The Hime picture collection is already a big shock for her. This is an excellent lesson to password-protect your phones.

Great to see our heroines patch things up in spectacular fashion. The next challenge is overcoming the baka couple hurdle…after 689 episodes or so.

Very intrigued to see how the second pair come together. Also hope my hype chef gets more screen time in this arc.

Yes, it took some time, but it’s nice to see them finally resolve their differences. The question is, is it just an act or is it for real? I am sure about Mitsuki, but what about Hime? At least they are on better terms now, which is I’m happy about.

Not so sure how Kanako will feel, but I do look forward to possibly Sumika do her magic with her since, well Mitsuki has an upper hand on Hime than Kanako, especially with Kanako’s Hime photo stash, which is a bit creepy.
