Bocchi the Rock – Episode 11 – Hitori’s Maid Anxieties

December 17, 2022 by Chikorita157 5 Comments
Njika and Ryou wondered the same thing Ikuyo is. Where did Hitori went?

Last time, Hitori went missing on the first day of the cultural festival. So, you might be wondering, where did she go and why?

It’s the first day of the cultural festival. Recall what Hitori’s class plan to do for their cultural festival. Yes, a maid café. The funny thing is when Nijika and Ryou had a lot of anticipation to see Hitori in a cute maid outfit. However, when they get to Hitori’s classroom, they see Ikuyo, wondering where Hitori went.

The idea of wearing a maid outfit is too much for Hitori.

As expected, Hitori’s social anxiety was too much after her classmates dressed her in a maid’s outfit. Not surprisingly, she usually wears a pink tracksuit, sometimes with a school skirt. The idea of wearing anything other than a tracksuit seems too embarrassing for her. The funny thing is that Nijika, Ryou, and Ikuyo didn’t find her in the usual hiding spot but near the trash.

Of course, while Nijika, Ryou, and Ikuyo tried to find Hitori, Hitori was lying there at a doorway near the trash area. I find it funny that her hair tie gems have melted as she finds wearing a maid’s outfit embarrassing. She also checked her not-Youtube account to escape into the online world.

Hitori comes to a realization that she hasn’t posted anything for a long time.

However, when she read the comments, she finds comments of people complaining that guitarhero haven’t uploaded any content for a while. They even threaten to unsubscribe if she doesn’t upload content. Yep, Hitori came to a sad realization that she hadn’t uploaded anything in a while. Maybe because she is having so much fun with her band friends in real life? That is before Ikuyo, Nijika, and Ryou found her.

The haunted house scared Nijika and Ikuyo.
It had no effect on Ryou and Hitori.
Ryou is good at shooting games.
Well, this painting resembles Hitori.

Before bringing them back to her classroom, they had fun with some cultural festival activities. I found Hitori’s reaction to Ryou when someone scared them in the haunted house. They just stood there. Of course, Nijika and Ikuyo got scared. They also had crapes, won some prizes and saw some artwork. Surprisingly, there is one that kind of looks like Hitori.

Yes, Hitori is just standing there still by the door.
Yep, Nijika, Ryou, and Ikuyo saw her like that.

Before Hitori knew it, she was back in her classroom as Nijika, Ikuyo, and Ryou tried to order something from the menu. I find it funny how Hitori is just standing there with a sign as if she passed out. Her expression was too much for the hooligans, which is quite amusing.

No matter what, Hitori looks cute in a maid’s outfit.
Ryou really wants to profit off Hitori’s good looks. Sadly, her social anxiety won’t allow it.

When Hitori took their order, she came over. Despite her social anxiety, Hitori looks cute in the maid outfit. Ryou got an idea that Bocchi, with her cute appearance, will make the band a lot of money. Yep, she can only think about money. Hitori even does that spell to make the omurice delicious. But, of course, they were frozen, and Gordon Ramsay wouldn’t like this.

Hitori’s so called “moe moe kyun” thing failed.
It’s obvious Ikuyo will look good in one.
Nijika and Ryou too.
Ikuyo having Ryou trying out various maid outfits.
It’s obvious that Ikuyo prefers this one on Ryou.
This gets Ikuyo excited.

While Hitori didn’t do the moe moe kyun thing like a specific maid show, her spell actually gave the opposite effect. It’s not until Ikuyo did it that it had any effect. Of course, they decide to help out because they get to wear cute maid outfits. I have to admit Nijika and Ikuyo especially look cute. While Ryou looks okay in a maid outfit, Ikuyo seems to like the butler outfit the most on her. I find it funny how Ryou is dominant over the two hooligans.

Before they know it, the first day of the cultural festival is over. Now, they have to prepare for their performance tomorrow. First, of course, they saw the gym where they performed before having their practice session before leaving for the day. Either way, Hitori looks forward to their performance tomorrow.

Hitori in her imaginary world.

The next day, when they are about to go on stage, anxiety and nervousness settle in for Hitori. Yep, she went into her delusion that her band would make it big from an agent watching their performance and making a contract. Surprisingly, Hitori did the huddle that Nijika wanted to do.

Surprising to see Kikuri come to the school festival all drunk.

When they got on stage, Hitori figured that Ikuyo would catch a lot of attention. That is until Hitori’s parents, little sister, fans, and a drunk Kikuri are there for her. I find it funny how the students around Kikuri don’t like the smell of alcohol coming from her breath. Nijika’s older sister must restrain her. Either way, we will find out Hitori and her band will fare in the final episode.

Hitori doing her best so long as she’s pushed the right way by the right people is always nice to see. She looked good as a maid and in a dream swimsuit.

Hopefully there’s more to HitoKita than a music related thing

I forgot about the swimsuit, but I guess it sort of makes up for the lack of a beach episodes, although the maid outfits are nice. But still wondering if the mangaka really intended Njika and Ryou and Hitori and Ikuyo all along.

Still the hope for a second season down the line.

The “Hunt for Bocchi” event was short thanks to Kita’s expertise on Bocchi’s ecology. And it was fun to see Ryou and Bocchi in Sync at the haunted house.
The noise from Bocchi’s guitar at the end can be the source of concern, but let’s see what guitarhero can show us for the last episode.

It was fun to find Hitori, but it’s not too surprising to see Ryou’s and Hitori’s reaction.

I suppose it’s going to be a thing, but hopefully the guitar will hold on.
