Shinmai Renkinjutsushi no Tenpo Keiei – Episode 11 – The Final Boss Salamander and Sarasa Shows Her Moves

December 12, 2022 by Chikorita157 3 Comments
Sarasa, Kate, Iris, and the other gatherers find out themselves how strong the salamander is.

Last time while investigating the Hellflame Bears, Sarasa, Kate, Iris and the gatherers found a salamander. This one look fierce, like the final boss’s difficulty. Obviously, Sarasa has a plan to defeat it, and it’s not going to be easy, but still doable.

Last time, there was an earthquake, and they discovered a salamander living in the volcano. It breathed fire at them, but they escaped safely without getting hurt. But obviously, Sarasa plans to confront it again to possibly resolve Iris’s family’s debt problem.

Sarasa tells Iris and Kate what she intends to do.

Sarasa eventually reports her findings to the lady. Ultimately, they must deal with the salamander at some point, especially given the frequent trembling. She got the idea to fight it with Iris and Kate supporting her. After all, she plans to defeat it to get ahold of its ingredients and sell it to pay off Iris’s family’s debt. Sure, it seems risky, but she is confident she can do it with Kate and Iris helping her. It shows that Sarasa is a go-getter.

Maria encourages Ophelia to observe Sarasa’s challenge with the salamander.
Kate and Iris are surprised by Sarasa’s willingness to challenge the salamander.

Of course, she prepared by creating heat-resistant equipment and ice weapons while Kate and Iris hunted down deer for pelts. I find it funny Iris and Kate scared Sarasa with a deer head. Sarasa obviously told Ophelia what she was doing, and she secretly came along for the ride. It’s nice to see some encouragement from Ophelia’s assistant to watch her from far away. We also see Leonora help her with the ingredient situation. She also received a map of the volcano to plan out their strategy.

Iris gone deer hunting. She can’t possibly mess this up.
Seeing Sarasa getting freaked out by the deer’s head is funny.
It’s just a deer pelt.
Sarasa looks very tired after working non-stop.
Lorea made a surprise dish.

Eventually, Sarasa has everything set after feeling exhausted from all the preparations. As expected, she didn’t expect Lorea to bring out the roasted head of a deer. I find it funny to see her reaction to it.

Yep, Ophelia watches fron behind.

It’s been nearly two weeks, and the earthquakes are getting worse. However, there seem to be more lava lizards around and a new volcano compared to last time. I like how Ophelia wore a mask and observed Sarasa and her companions from far away.

As for the fight itself, it was a bit more complicated than Sarasa expected. While she charged her magic and used her ice magic, the salamander attacked Sarasa with an intense flamethrower. Of course, she has some blood on her forehead, making the fight seem serious.

Kate and Iris will be there to the very end.

However, Kate and Iris came in at the right time so she could unleash her final attack. Of course, Iris and Kate state they will be with her to the end, although Sarasa wants them to retreat if she needs to. However, they are confident Sarasa can do it, given their willingness to stay. It shows how much loyalty Kate and Iris have toward Sarasa.

At least Sarasa managed to pull through.
Nice to see Ophelia there giving Sarasa the moral support she needs.

While she eventually reaches her limit as the salamander refuses to freeze completely, Ophelia says something to give Sarasa the push she needs to defeat the salamander. Either way, they managed to do it, and Sarasa saw a glimpse of Ophelia before she passed out. Thankfully, they save the harvesting of the salamander for the next day, as she deserves a nice rest after a tough fight. Still, it ‘s nice to see her mentor come and see the fight to give her moral support. Not too surprising as she is confident that her apprentice will pull through. On the blight side, Iris didn’t quite get herself in a bad situation this time.

Not much to add this episode. Solid boss battle against the salamander and nice to see the older couples together again albeit briefly.

Yes, it was brief, but it shows how capable Sarasa is. Still nice to see moments with Kate and Iris and Ophelia and Maria.
