Houkago Teibou Nisshi – Episode 6 – Hina Goes Fishing, Alone

August 11, 2020 by Chikorita157 2 Comments

Yes, Yuuki is up to no good this time when it comes to Hina.

After the disaster from last time, it seems that that the girls go back to the basics. Fishing for baby horse mackerels. Hina even tries fishing on her own with varying results.

Yes, Hina and Natsumi found out the hard way after learning how uncontrollable Sayaka is. Apparently, Sayaka comes back for some cooked fish. Thankfully, her wallet is empty, which is good so Yuuki doesn’t have to deal with a drunk Sayaka. At least Hina doesn’t have to deal with the horrors of Sayaka becoming clingy while drunk. She eventually gives in and tells her not to drink while in the club room.

With that, Sayaka takes Natsumi and Hina to a local fish shop. Yes, they went to get krill and panko. Apparently, the owner of Takohigeya knows Natsumi and gets a bit excited when she sees Hina. Yep, this is not too surprising since it’s obvious how he acts. Either way, they finally got their bait they needed.

Yes, they caught that many. The question remains, what should they do next?

After fishing a lot of horse mackerels, Hina now has to do the part she fears the most. Yes, this is the part that Yuuki mentions. Makoto teaches Hina how to pull the guts of all the baby horse mackerels. Yes, Hina became horrified. Things get funnier when Natsumi buts in and forces her to pull the guts from the fish. Her reaction is what I expected.

Yes, Hina passed out after Makoto guts a fish.
Natsumi up to trouble gain.
It looks like we have broke Hina.
Hina seeing fish guts on her hands is too much.

Eventually, she imagines the fish as a plush fish and taking out of the stuffing. She manages to pull through the whole bucket amazingly, although she didn’t clean them. I find Hina’s reaction when she saw her hands full of fish guts hilarious. I have a feeling that Yuuki is trying to traumatize our poor Hina. Then again, she will eventually become use to it like everything else.

Yep, Hina’s mom found fishing gear.
It looks like Hina made an amateur mistake.

The next day, it seems that her parents found some fishing rods and fishing gear that their grandfather left in the shed. This gives her the idea of fishing for baby horse mackerels. She went to buy bait that the Takohigeya shop owner recommends and started to fish. However, she couldn’t catch anything as the small fish wouldn’t hook on. After a while and using a good amount of bait, she only managed to hook a big flathead fish, but it got away.

Yep, Natsumi shows her the way.
I guess carrying all that fish with the fishing equipment is too much for her.

Yes, she wanted to surprise Natsumi that she can fish. In the end, she ends up inviting her. This is when Hina finds out that she used the wrong hooks and rod. Yes, it’s a rookie mistake, but thankfully Natsumi is there to show her the right hooks and rod to use. With that, Hina is able to catch a lot of them and bring them home. Still, it’s amazing how she cooler filled with baby horse mackerels along with her fishing equipment. Either way, Hina learns that she need to use the right tool for the job or she won’t catch anything.

Hina still has much to learn. Glad to see she’s more determined now thanks to her now obvious crush.

The older ladies are all wonderful, especially Yuuki.

Then again, I won’t be surprised that Hina enjoys getting tormented by Natsumi at this point.
