Houkago Teibou Nisshi – Episode 5 – Getting Dirty for Clams and the Drunk Club Advisor

August 4, 2020 by Chikorita157 3 Comments
Hina is happy the ink didn’t ruin her jacket.

Yuuki wonders what she should fish next. However, with the tide being low, they decide to dig for clams instead.

As expected, the squid dirtied Hina’s jacket last time. Thankfully, Makoto managed to clean it off with some saltwater. Either way, it’s a good thing that the ink didn’t ruin Hina’s jacket. Otherwise, this would upset her. Still, I don’t expect that to happen since it’s waterproof. Not only that, Natsumi shows off her fishing jacket and hat as well. Still, Hina wondered if she can wear other clothing while doing Breakwater activities.

Obviously, Hina wants to look cute, not a sore thumb.

Sadly, you can’t since well, it’s a school activity. Therefore, they can only wear their school uniforms or their tracksuits. I find it hilarious how Hina and Natsumi don’t want people see them fishing in tracksuits. The funny thing is that they do this time around when they went to the tidal flats. Of course, they can only dig up clams, not crabs. While I saw a crab, I was going to mention Maryland. Yes, the state I live in that has an obsession for crabs and Old Bay seasoning. Sadly, can’t do that here. Maybe when the girls finally go fishing for crabs or something.

This is not what Hina expected.

While Makoto and Yuuki dig out the clams, Natsumi makes a mud ball and asks her to touch it. Hina gets upset as Natsumi taunts Hina with her muddy hands. The funny thing is that they ended up going too far and getting stuck in the mud. I find it funny when Natsumi gets stuck, Hina is unwilling to help her.

I don’t know, but Natsumi loves bullying Hina for some reason.
Hina is happy that Natsumi is stuck in the mud.
Uh oh, Hina got stuck too.

Eventually, Natsumi falls on Hina, thus they ended up getting dirty anyways. Thankfully, they got out after they start panicking about not getting out of the mud before the tidal wave comes back. But yes, I guess they didn’t heed Yuuki’s warning and she is willing to let them to hang them out to dry. Even Makoto wanted to rescue them despite Yuuki telling her not to. I guess they didn’t listen since Natsumi enjoys tormenting poor Hina. It’s too bad Hina didn’t ended up bopping her on the head just like last time.

Hina finds her lucky catch.

Thankfully, it seems that after the trouble Natsumi caused, it seems that Hina doesn’t mind the mud at all. She also finds an Asian hard clam she picked up from the ground. Yep, Hina’s talent of finding the best catch shines again.

The girls is excited to eat clams today.
Sayaka, their club’s advisor shows up.
She knows that Makoto is hiding something.

With that, after preparing the clams to spit all the sand out, they are going to cook it. Sadly, they had to hide it since their advisor showed up. Her name is Kotani Sayaka and she is the advisor of the club and the school nurse.

Sayaka becomes a bit clingy when drunk.
Sadly, she ate all the food and hardly anyone else had any.
I can see why Yuuki doesn’t want her here.

You might be wondering, why they hid the clams? Yes, Sayaka is a heavy drinker and she gets a bit clingy when drunk. She kinds of reminds me of Lush from Endro, but probably worse. She ends up eating most, if not all the clams Makoto cooked. Yep, Hina and Natsumi asked for it after living her. She also tried to kiss Makoto and Yuuki. Thankfully, Yukki prevented her from doing it.

At least the girls have some clams left to grill.
Sayaka just ate Hina’s catch. Poor Hina.
Hina is distraught that what she was about to eat is gone.

Thankfully, Makoto saved a few, including the Asian hard clam. After Makoto grilled it and put some soy sauce on it, Hina is about to eat it. However, she hesitated when she thought she should share it. Without knowing it, Sayaka got to it. As the saying goes, the early bird catches the worm. Still, I felt bad seeing Hina having her catch eaten by a drunk teacher. Maybe now, she learned the lesson along with Hina to never invite their club advisor to dinner. She is a disaster waiting to happen.

An epic chase followed by a highly anticipated debut that was worth the wait. Miss Sayaka rules.

As you said over at my place I too think Natsumi enjoys upsetting Hina because she’s really cute when upset as we’ve seen several times thus far.

Yes, Sayaka is definitely something, but I can see why she wants to come to the club once in a while.

Definitely, Natsumi must like really like showing her affection towards Hina by tormenting her. It’s another form of flattery.
