Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru? – Episode 2 – A Break From Training

July 10, 2019 by Chikorita157 2 Comments
Hibiki notices that she is getting a bit stronger.

As Hibiki continues to try to lose weight, she realizes something that disappoints her. Yes, it’s regarding her weight again.

Hibiki is training hard lately and decides to weigh herself. As expected, she didn’t lose any, but actually gained some. Yes, it’s discouraging to see one’s weight not go down after working out to lose it. Then again, her eating habits might defeat the purpose of all that training.

Hibiki’s eating habits might backfire in regards to her goals.

Obviously, the trainer eventually explains that muscles weigh more than fat. However, the person’s figure will look more fit despite the weight gain. Still, it’s quite obvious that she doesn’t want to become a macho gorilla to the likes of a certain maid. After all, her goal is to lose weight. On the other hand, Akemi might be a different story. After all, she made educated guesses of the women at the pool what muscles they trained.

Some rejoice as the swimsuit episode came a bit early.

Eventually, Hibiki and Akemi takes a break at the pool. Yes, that day came early despite Hibiki’s swimsuit being a bit too tight. As expected, Akemi the training enthusiast she is tells Hibiki not to do traditional stretches, but instead of a special one called dynamic stretching. As expected, Hibiki manages to rip part of her swimsuit while doing them.

Hibiki is impressed how fit Ayaka is.

Later, Hibiki goes to Ayaka’s house to watch some movies. It’s quite obvious the movie they watched are a reference to Arnold Schwarzenegger. We also find out that Ayaka and her older sister helps out with their family business, which is a gym. Not any gym, it’s a boxing gym that they help out with. As expected, Ayaka is also fit with some nice abs.

Does Hibiki has it take to become a boxer instead? Who knows.

Hibiki tries out some exercises and punch a punching bag with boxing gloves. I find it hilarious how Hibiki utterly destroys the punching bag. I guess Hibiki has special talent that she didn’t realize that she had before. Maybe it’s from all that weight training she did.

Top 3 Summer shows alongside Symphogear 5 and Machikado Mazoku.

For the most part this anime was made for me and I am loving it!

Hibiki may be related to Ippo or Saitama.

The trainer is meh, but mostly harmless. Still, it’s still enjoyable mostly because of the characters so far. I guess the white haired girl will make an appearance soon.
