The big exam day has come. Will Chiya and her friends pass the exam to advance to the next rank?
At last, Chiya and her friends get a chance to take the exam that happens every summer and winter. This time, Kon’s mother, Tokie hosts the examination. The objective is to find the arrow key in the maze and get out safely. Of course, this won’t be an easy task since the maze is huge and there are traps everywhere. Not to mention, the teachers play the role as Oni, who will catch their students. If they are caught or three teams make it out with the arrows, it’s game over.
While the exam is a daunting task, it seems that the girls are confident that they will pass the exam. The girls are all prepared with their choice of tool, except for Chiya. While Chiya becomes worried because of this, Kon cheers her and reminds her of the promise they made. Remember, Chiya is not alone since he has her friends. Even so, it doesn’t look like Chiya need any since she only needs to rely on her natural instincts
As for the maze, it’s massive. While the girls went through the traps, they eventually encounter the Oni. Thankfully, after listening to Nono’s lullaby, they feel asleep. Also, Koume uses her pendulum to find the keys themselves, which eventually led to a trap instead. Kon had to suffer all the pots dropping on her head. From the looks of it, probably one of the teams already took it.
Thankfully, Kon uses her Kokkuri divination to find the key. Thanks to Chiya’s help, they eventually found the Key. They decided to have Chiya carry it, but a strange force drags her down. Is it one of those gods that Chiya saw earlier? We have to see next time as the girls try to make it out of the maze.
Aside from that, Kon and Chiya is definitely strong in this episode given that Kon cheered Chiya up. Still, it’s funny how Nina comes up with a realization after Saku told her Oni costume is indecent. Perhaps Saku has a dirty mind? Maybe, but it’s funny how Ooshima and Shiozawa still defends her no matter what. It’s obvious now where their loyalties lie.
