At last, Illya that we know and love is finally back as the girls prepare for summer birthday beach party.
Summer is finally here with the 8th card location now revealed after Luvigelita’s mansion got completely destroyed in a fight against Bazett in the last season. As expected, the card is under the sea, which is such a very convenient location considering that Illya’s classmates are holding a birthday beach party the next day. To prepare for that, Illya and her friends need to buy some new swimsuits.
I have to admit that it was very funny to see Suzuka and Nanaki try to force Illya to wear such a revealing swimsuit and take a picture of her in it. As expected, Tatsuko causes some trouble by walking out of the changing room with Suzuka and Nanaki chasing after them. I kind of felt bad for the sales clerk that works in that shop. At least Miyu told them off by saying that she didn’t recall being their friend after showing the rainbow credit card.
Aside from the three stooges causing a commotion at a swimsuit shop, Illya kissing Kuro was probably the highlight of the episode. It seems that kissing or rather, making out is the only way to recharge Kuro’s mana and of course, Illya does not want to do the alternative. Still, seeing Illya kiss her other self is pretty hot that poor Mimi couldn’t get it out of her mind when she peeked in.
With that, I’m happy that the Illya that we know is love is now back after seeing what happened to her in Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works. Still, I’m quite curious about Miyu’s nostalgic feeling towards Shirou when she stayed at Illya’s house. It makes me wonder if she has a brother like him in the world she originally came from. Either way, I’m excited for the beach episode next time. ¶
