Since, most of the 13 episode shows will end by the last week of June that includes Angel Beats! and Working!!, I decided to post my Summer 2010 plans. Kaichou wa Maid-sama and perhaps K-ON! by the looks of it will be 24+ episode shows that will air throughout the summer. Therefore, I am pretty much occupied without getting into the Summer 2010 Season. Before I go into detail in what I will be focusing on this summer, I want to give my overall thoughts about the Summer 2010 Anime lineup.

Summer 2010 Anime Season Thoughts
The Summer 2010 season is pretty lackluster like last years summer season. This year, you have a mix of harem, fanservice and more harem Anime… Needless to say, I am going to skip all the Anime thats airing this summer. From the whole list, probably the most anticipated shows is Strike Witches 2 (if you a fan of panty shots and have already watched and liked the first season) and Gakuen Mokushiroku (a high school murder mystery story). I have absolutely no interest in the two shows I mentioned. So that pretty much sums up the 2010 summer season… I won’t be watching anything new from that list.
So, what will be doing besides watching Maid-sama and K-ON!!?
One of my goals this summer is to finish most of my backlog. I still have Hayate no Gotoku First Season, sola, Air and Kannagi to finish. Perhaps I will start ef to piss minori off because they don’t want any of their content in westerner’s hands (I’m just kidding about the “pissing them off” part). In addition, I will probably buy some more anime and re-watch Clannad with the dub and start Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and Kimi ni Todoke.
In addition to the backlogged Anime, I need to finish and review the two remaining arcs in the Kanon visual novel and finish half of the Clannad visual novel. Summer is short, but I expect to finish most of the stuff off before the next semester that starts in September.
In July 10, 2010, I will be going away on a vacation to the good old and boring Wisconsin to visit my father’s relatives and then another week in Minnesota. This means that I will be away until July 25, 2010. During that time, I will be in the car or in the hotel room majority of the time. I should have internet access since I will have spotty 3G and EDGE data access on my phone and internet access in the hotel. Hopefully the vacation will not impact my usual updates on my blog, unless I go sightseeing or loaf around. It may delay the ongoing Anime since I have to download the episodes remotely from my Mac mini thats running in my bedroom and then SFTP them to my computer, but it shouldn’t be a problem.
That is pretty much it on what I have to say on what I’m doing in the summer. I wish everyone have great summer and I hope this one will be a good one.
