This episode is very enjoyable and who knew that that Kanna (or Kannabi no Mikoto) would have a personality of a Tsundere…. Although it’s abridged, Air in Summer two episode special covers more content over the abridged, two episode Summer Arc in the main series. It’s recommended to watching this episode before watching the Air in Summer special.
In this episode, Ryuya promises Kanna to go on a journey to find her mother and the three of them, Kanna, Ryuya, Uraha goes on a long journey to find her mother.
1000 years earlier prior to the Dream arc, there is a winged-girl named Kanna (or Kannabi no Mikoto.) who is isolated from the general population, mainly because she is believed to be the last winged being. She says that she is lonely and that she was separated from her mother. Ryuya soon finds out that Kanna is being moved to a another temple which upsets Uraha. Then, Ryuya, Kanna, and Yraha decides to go on a journey to find Kanna’s mother. After they left, the temple was attacked and then the guards go on a search looking for Kanna which was missing. Few months later, they arrived at the mountain, which was scared and Ryuya got into a fight with 3 monks, but defeated them although he couldn’t kill any one of them because of Kanna’s order of not killing a being. Ryuya rested in the cave and Kanna order caused him to be injured. Soon, they arrived where the mother was held and Kanna reunited with her mother. Shortly after, her mother told her to leave.
Most of the episode was pretty much lighthearted except the scenes with the fighting and towards the end of the episode. What made this episode enjoyable is Kanna… in several instances:
– Ryuya touches Kanna’s butt… err… and here is the reaction:
– Kanna trying to juggle the beanbags, but end up throwing them in the air:
