MAL Lite
Well, I've tried [MAL Updater] for quite a while yet, but its left me [perennially] disappointed. It's so hard-to-use and stupid, that only a clunky junky's gonna ever wanna fiddle with it.
Download 1.1.7 - Windows - Linux
Note: Installer for 1.1.7 is now fixed, so you can just run the installer and it will uninstall the old version automatically and install the new one.
Notice: Development of MAL Lite is now on hold because of the lack of workable APIs. Demand a workable APIs if you want to see this application continued to be developed. For the time being, use alternative services and clients like Melative Library
Well, don’t be... MAL Lite is an extremely easy, lightweight MyAnimeList client for Windows and Linux. Anime scrobbling is a niche feature and majority manually update their Anime Lists. MAL Lite has the easiest interface that people can use without being confused on using all these features.
MAL Lite only provides the features that most people would use... Update their status! No matter how many features you can shove in one program, if it’s not easy to use or the implementation sucks, then it’s useless. Also, MAL Lite uses even less memory than MAL Updater (10 MB, but depending on the size of your list, it can vary) and this program can be hide to the tray. You can also update melative at the same time using MAL Lite.
MAL Lite is open sourced, as in freedom, allowing for more transparency and improvements. MAL Updater is not and nobody can improve on it or fix bugs they find. The source for MAL Lite can be found at github.
Requires Windows XP or higher or Linux with GTK2+ (Windows 7 Compatible)
