Banners

Through out the almost 2 year history of the blog, I have gone through some banners. Before the theme was remade, I made a collage of pictures. The overall result looked so dull that it’s not even funny. The reason being is that I didn’t know most of the functions in Photoshop until I took a course called “Intro to Digital Photography,” which thought me some of the commonly used tools in Photoshop.

In May of 2010, I gotten a bit more creative with the banners and the quality of them went up significantly. Normally, these pictures are taken from cleaned or vectorized scans. I might use fanart in the future (with attribution), but I have yet to do that and its always the last resort.

All the banners are made in Adobe Photoshop. The later ones are done in Photoshop CS5 with the Wacom Bamboo Tablet assisting in cutting out the pictures. Banner’s after May 2010 has a tagline stuck together just for fun.

2009

This is the first banner when I started the blog. It's really crappy and random.

Its still pretty meh. I should have used the cropping tool...

This was the summer banner of 2009. I don't think I bothered changing it until February of this year.

2010

This was the banner I made back in February. It's slightly better than the previous one, but not as good like the next three. This banner was used from February until May.

This is when I started becoming a bit creative. I used the summer themed Anime, Air as the base of the banner and it worked pretty good.

Made in July 2010, I was obsessed with Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha that I have to make a banner based on that. The result is that I took a picture of Fate and placed a night sky behind it. Overall, it looked really appealing, better than the previous banner.

This is the current banner. I used the picture with Makoto running in the sunset with Piro and made my own background. I used the picture of her in fox form as the sun, which is setting. It resulted in one of the prettiest banners yet.
