Clannad ~After Story~ Episode 2

Sunohara tries to find a girlfriend before his sister (Mei) comes.

Also contains Sanae-san cosplaying scene.

Synopsis

In the Illusionary World, the Garbage Doll was gathering garbage parts to make another doll when he got lost. He saw a sheep-like animal and follows it. The doll after following the sheep-like animal was back with the Girl, which was carrying the sheep-like animal. She releases them afterwards.

Meanwhile, in real life, it was the first day of the next semester and Sunohara comes in. They think about the future. Sunohara says that he have no plans for the future, so Tomoya then decides for Sunohara to get a fake girlfriend so that Mei doesn’t think he have no future.

First, Sunohara tries to ask Ryou as his fake girlfriend. Ryou started to become embarrassed and started to cry. Then, Kyou throws a dictionary at Sunohara and kicks him. Nagisa tries to explain what they were doing. Tomoya then suggests asking Kyou, but Sunohara says bad things about her and then Kyou pushes a book onto his eyes and hits him and Tomoya and they left.

Next, Sunohara asks Tomoyo, but he ended up being ignored and getting kicked.

Afterwards, they ask Kotomi, and said she would help… but Sunohara refusing after Kotomi played her violin, still sounding horrible.

Lastly, they ask Yukine to act as her girlfriend. As Sunahora tried to hold her hand, he was grabbed by a gang member for doing something bad her and then he left.

Then, they have Sunohara ask a girl in the city, but it ends up with failure again. Then, Sanae-san comes to Tomoya and asking what’s wrong. After explaining, Sanae-san agrees to help Sunohara.

Back at Sunohara’s place, he tells Mei-chan that he has a girlfriend and Mei wants to see his girlfriend.

Back at Nagisa’s house, Sanae-san tries on the costumes in the box.

Tomoya tells Sanae-san that Mei is going to meet day after tomorrow. Then, they said to keep this a secret from Mei-chan.

The next day, Sanae-san and Sunohara practice with each other.

Then the day come and Mei come sees her girlfriend. Sunohara have bunch of cans around him as part of his strategy. He drank so much, so he has to go to the bathroom. Then, Nagisa, Tomoya, and Mei started to clean up and Sanae-san asks them to help, but when they saw Sanae, she looked completely different. She was wearing the school uniform. When Sunohara left the bathroom and went back, he sees Sanae-san and apologizes to her.

Reaction

This episode was pretty enjoyable and really humorous (with Sunohara getting beaten up) … but not much plot advancement until next episode, which things get a lot funnier than this… We will find out what happens on Sunohara’s date with Sanae-san and also… Tomoya’s date with Mei-chan…

This episode gets a 8.7/10
